First Time Student Admission to Undergraduate Program
ADMISSION OF STUDENTS TO THE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM
Since 07.01.2019, requests regarding the establishment of a department/department within faculties and colleges by higher education institutions, and the opening of associate degree programs in vocational schools, requests regarding the admission of students to the department/program for the first time have been made through the YÖKSİS database as of 07.01.2019.
In order for students to be admitted to a department by opening an undergraduate program in higher education institutions, the said department/program must be established by the decision of the Higher Education Council and be included in the YÖKSİS database. In order for the undergraduate program to be opened and a student admission offer can be made, the minimum faculty member determined by the Council of Higher Education must be appointed to the staff in that department/program, and the information of the faculty member in the department/program must be included in the YÖKSİS database.
The documents required for applications to start an undergraduate program and to admit students to the department/program for the first time are listed below. It is necessary to prepare these documents completely and in accordance with the desired format, to evaluate the applications within the scope of current legislation and academic criteria and to conclude them as soon as possible.
Admission of Students to Undergraduate Departments/Programs within the Faculties for the First Time
The documents created by the relevant unit in accordance with the desired format within the framework of the criteria determined by the Council of Higher Education are sent to the Rectorate Student Affairs Department together with the Faculty Board Decision with a cover letter.
It is submitted to the Senate of our University by the Registrar's Office,
The proposal approved by the Senate of our university is written to YÖK in an official letter,
After the correspondence is completed, (Program Information Form, (other documents, if any) Senate Decision and a cover letter to YÖK) are submitted to YÖKSİS/ABAYS for approval.
The decision announced by the Council of Higher Education is notified to the relevant unit, the Personnel Department and the Information Processing Department.
Admission of Students for the First Time to Undergraduate Departments/Programs Providing Education in a Foreign Language In
order for the program to be taught in a foreign language at least 30% or completely, at least 5 instructors, 3 of which are faculty members, must meet the foreign language requirements in the department where the program is located. foreign language information must be entered in the relevant table and also Language Proficiency Documents must be attached.
Mandatory Foreign Language Preparatory Class Opening.
Regarding the applications to be made to open a compulsory foreign language preparatory class in undergraduate programs that provide education in a foreign language and at least 30% foreign language education, regarding the new principles created within the framework of the "Regulation on the Principles to be Followed in Foreign Language Education and Teaching in Higher Education Institutions" link is given below
