GENERAL INFORMATION

Department of Student Affairs, Tarsus University was established with the Law No. 7141 on the Amendment of the Higher Education Law and Some Laws and Decrees, published in the Official Gazette dated 18 May 2018 and numbered 30425.

     In the 31st article of the Decree Law on the Administrative Organization of Higher Education Institutions and Higher Education Institutions numbered 124, the duties of the Student Affairs Department are:
  • To do the necessary work related to the new registration, admission and course status of the students,
  • To carry out the processes of graduation, identity, scholarship, alumni monitoring,
  • It is stated as fulfilling other similar duties to be given. In this context; In general, by the Student Affairs Department, which works with the Student Information System (OBS);
  • Submitting the Academic Calendar draft and lesson plans to the University Senate before the start of the academic year and distributing the results to the relevant units,
  • Examining the Department and Program opening proposal files and sending them to the Council of Higher Education after the Senate's approval,
  • Notifying the relevant units of the departments and programs deemed appropriate by the Council of Higher Education,
  • Ensuring the transfer of students placed in our University by OSYM to the Student Information System (OBS),
  • Ensuring that additional quota, Vertical Transfer and Horizontal Transfer students are registered to the Student Information System (OBS),
  • Preparing the student contribution and tuition fees determined by the Council of Ministers on a student basis and entering the Student Information System (OBS),
  • Ensuring that the course registrations of the students are made without any problems,
  • Notifying the relevant institutions of disciplinary and criminal proceedings and entering YÖKSİS,
  • Examining the decisions of the graduated students from the units, preparing their diplomas and diploma supplements and sending them to the units,
  • Carrying out the summer school studies and sending the grades of the students who took courses from other universities at the end of the summer school to the relevant units,
  • Making and presenting the Regulations, Directives and Implementation Principles to the Senate,
  • Works and transactions such as correspondence with YÖK, ÖSYM, KYK and other institutions and organizations and units of our University are carried out regarding education and training and students.
